#1: Grab a pen (or a marker)
Write the date you opened the packaging on the patch. This way, you will know when to recharge the activated charcoal each month and when to replace it after two years.
#2: Place in an open space
You can place your bags nearly anywhere. We’re talking closets, kitchens, drawers, bathrooms, nurseries, pet areas, laundry rooms—you name it. But, to help our air purifiers work as they should (i.e., effectively draw and trap noxious fumes, odors, and moisture), make sure there's good airflow around the bag. So, shoving it under your sofa or cramming it into a packed wardrobe? That's a no-no.
#3: Recharge every month
Like all of us, our activated charcoal air purifiers can’t work without recharging ever so often. Thankfully, you won’t have to bring them on a fancy spa day or weekend cabin getaway; all you have to do is place them under direct sunlight for one hour every month, and these hard workers are ready to clean and freshen your air once again.
#4: Compost for the garden
Our activated charcoal air purifiers will reach the end of their effectiveness after two years. But don't just throw them away! Instead, cut open the fabric with scissors and scatter its "black gold" contents into your garden to improve the soil and nourish your plants.
